It looks like Dak Prescott may be sidelined for quite some time after suffering a brutal injury in Sunday’s action.

The Mississipi State product and quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys was injured during the third quarter of the game against the New York Giants. After rushing for a decent gain and absorbing contact from the defender, Prescott was brought down with his right foot and ankle caught under the defender at a weird angle.

It was quickly evident that Prescott was seriously injured:

It is obviously an incredible blow to Prescott and the Cowboys as Prescott was off to an unbelievably hot start this season. The crowd in Dallas understandably gave Prescott a standing ovation as he was carted off.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Prescott as he deals with this setback. Hopefully he will heal quickly and return to action as soon as possible.
