In the battle of the Egg Bowl on Saturday afternoon, Mississippi State made a huge statement.
The Bulldogs bested their in-state rival Ole Miss by a score of 55-20. Dan Mullen’s team ran for an eye-popping 457 yards on 47 carries. This equates to a 9.72 yards-per-carry average.
Quarterback Nick Fitzgerald ran for 258 yards on 14 carries, and running back Aeris Williams chipped in with 191 yards on 25 carries.
Mullen spoke to the media after the supremely impressive victory:
