Dan Mullen congratulates MSU on bowl win, Hail State fans predictably react

Mississippi State took down Louisville 31-27 in Saturday’s TaxSlayer Bowl.

The Bulldogs got a big win with the odds stacked against them. They were without quarterback Nick Fitzgerald and they had an interim coach — Greg Knox.

That’s because, of course, former head coach Dan Mullen left State to take over with the same position at Florida.

Still, Mullen wanted to congratulate his former players on getting the bowl victory.

He posted this tweet shortly after the game:

Predictably, Mississippi State fans responded.

Some were happy. Some were mad. Some were hilarious:
