Fans, media react to SEC’s punishment for Dan Mullen following Florida-Missouri brawl

The SEC announced punishment for those involved in the Florida-Missouri Brawl on Saturday, including a $25,000 fine for coach Dan Mullen.

Florida defensive lineman Zach Carter and linebacker Antwuan Powell will be suspended for the first half of next week’s game vs. Georgia.

The SEC also suspended Missouri linebacker Chad Bailey, offensive lineman Dylan Spencer and defensive lineman Markell Utsey for the first half of the Tigers’ next game vs. Georgia. The Tigers are idle this upcoming week.

SEC fans were quick to point out the $25,000 fine for Mullen is the same amount the conference fined Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin last week for some ill-advised tweeting.
