Dan Mullen knows the way to a recruit’s commitment often runs through a mother’s heart.
That’s probably why the Mississippi State head coach decided to send out some handwritten Mother’s Day notes this year.
On Friday, three-star LB prospect Tadarrius Patterson tweeted a picture of the message that his mother received from Mullen:

The Birmingham, Ala. native is uncommitted at this point, but has named Louisville his favorite school to this point, according to 247Sports.
Mississippi State, Auburn and Tennessee are just some of the other teams interested in him.
It will be interesting to see if more of these notes from Mullen start showing up on social media as Mother’s Day approaches. This can’t be the only one that he sent out.
