Dan Mullen recently published his rankings for the SEC East and West. Mullen is now an ESPN studio analyst after head coaching stints at Mississippi State and Florida.

Notice where Mullen ranked each of his former teams.

Mullen, like most, has Georgia reigning supreme in the East and Alabama in the West. The former coach is not high on Florida or Mississippi State’s chance, however. Mullen has the Gators finishing 5th in the East, ahead of only Vanderbilt and Missouri. The Bulldogs are ranked 6th in the West ahead of only Auburn.

From a national view, Mullen recently revealed his Top 25, and noticeably slotted his old rivals 1 or 2 spots lower than the AP Top 25. When it comes to teams in his former conference, Mullen disagrees slightly with the AP rankings of Alabama (No. 4), LSU (No. 5), Tennessee (No. 12) and Ole Miss (No. 22).

Mullen was the head coach at Mississippi State from 2009-2017 and compiled a 69-46 record. The coach took over in Gainesville in 2018 and stayed through the 2021 season. Mullen joined ESPN as a studio analyst prior to the 2022 season.
