Dan Mullen is gearing up for another college football season as an analyst for ESPN. The former SEC head coach shared his preseason Top 25 on Monday.

Mullen is mostly onboard with the voters in the Associated Press Top 25. Like the AP Top 25, Mullen has defending national champion Georgia at No. 1, with Michigan and Ohio State grabbing the next 2 spots.

The absence of TCU, last season’s runner-up, stands out from Mullen’s Top 25. The Horned Frogs are No. 17 in the AP poll heading into the season.

AP voters have Texas A&M at No. 23 in the preseason rankings, but Mullen doesn’t consider the Aggies a Top 25 squad heading into 2023. Mullen instead includes Arkansas at No. 21. When it comes to teams in his former conference, Mullen disagrees slightly with the AP rankings of Alabama (No. 4), LSU (No. 5), Tennessee (No. 12) and Ole Miss (No. 22), slotting his old rivals 1 or 2 spots lower.

Mullen’s full Top 25 can be viewed in the post below:
