The LSU Tigers had to wait 42 picks for their first draftee of 2015 (Jalen Collins), and they had to wait another 46 picks for their second selection of the draft, defensive end Danielle Hunter.
Hunter, who entered the draft a year early, was taken 88th overall, 24th in the third round, by the Minnesota Vikings. He’s seen as a dominant physical specimen would could have elevated himself to a first-round pick had he returned to LSU for another year of seasoning.
Instead, he’s headed to Minnesota. Hunter was the fourth SEC selection of the third round, the 13th of Night 2 and the 20th of the 2015 draft.
