Darius Rucker will be the headline performer for the upcoming SEC Championship Game on Dec. 2 in Atlanta, Georgia. The Diamond-certified, three-time Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, and guitarist is the main act of the T-Mobile SEC Championship Concert.

The pre-game concert begins at 12 p.m. EST and will be televised during the SEC Championship rendition of the Marty & McGee show. The 57-year-old Rucker, who attended the University of South Carolina, is thrilled to perform before the major college football event.

“I always say there are two times of the year: football season and waiting for football season. I’ve loved getting to be part of College GameDay all year and I can’t think of a better way to finish off the season than at the SEC Championship,” Rucker said to SECSports.com. “See y’all there!”

As it currently stands, the projected matchup would be between No. 2 Georgia and No. 8 Alabama for the right to capture the SEC crown. Both programs are 6-0 in SEC play this season and have plenty of heated history with each other.

The last time the programs faced off in the SEC title game in 2021, Alabama beat Georgia 41-24. However, Georgia still went on to win the first of 2 back-to-back national titles.
