Deion Sanders blasts reports stating that Shedeur Sanders won’t play for certain NFL teams

Deion Sanders has never been one to pull punches, and on Saturday, the Colorado head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer appeared to respond to a report that his son, Shedeur, wouldn’t play for specific NFL teams if drafted by them.
An X account called “NFL Rookie Watch” with over 159,500 followers claimed that Shedeur Sanders wouldn’t play if he was drafted by either the New Orleans Saints or the Cleveland Browns in the spring. The account compared it to Eli Manning’s refusal to play for the then-San Diego Chargers when he was drafted No. 1 overall in 2004, ultimately leading to him being traded to the New York Giants.
Here’s the post in question, which also states that the Dallas Cowboys — his father’s former team — or the Las Vegas Raiders were the younger Sanders’ two potential landing spots:
Turns out, that was news to the Sanders camp. Deion Sanders responded to the post, calling it a “lie” and accusing the owner of the account of “misrepresenting” matters in an attempt to “become relevant”:

Shedeur Sanders figures to be among the top quarterbacks drafted in the spring. As far as rumors that he won’t play for a handful of teams if they take him off the board, judging by his father’s reaction, that’s all they are: rumors.
