Deion Sanders has Colorado on a better trajectory than it has been on for the entirety of the decade.
It hasn’t entirely been pretty and Sanders has been met with a lot of controversy and criticism in his time with the Buffaloes, but he does have them bowl-eligible for the first time in this decade. This will be their third bowl game appearance since 2007. They achieved that on Saturday night with their 34-23 victory over the Cincinnati Bearcats.
It marks the team’s sixth win of the season as they sit on a two-game winning streak.
The Buffaloes have not seen the field for a bowl game since the COVID season that was cut short to six games in which Colorado recorded a 4-2 overall record back in 2020. The last time the team achieved a bowl game victory was in 2004.

“I know Peggy. She’s got expensive taste,” Sanders said of one of Colorado’s biggest superfans. “She don’t just want a bowl. She wants a bowl bowl. And I ain’t talkin’ about Manute (Bol),” Sanders told ESPN during the Buffaloes’ win.
Colorado will aim to keep the momentum rolling when it faces the Texas Tech Red Raiders up next on the schedule on Saturday, Nov. 9 in Lubbock.
