Sanders played for Bowden from 1985 to 1989 as a cornerback. During his college career, Sanders had 14 interceptions and 3 pick-sixes. He would go on to be drafted as the fifth pick in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons.
Bowden’s coaching career at Florida State had plenty of accolades during his tenure from 1976 to 2009. He is the only coach to have 14 10-win seasons in a row. Other impressive accolades include his 2 national titles in 1993 and 1999 as well as his win total as a coach. His 377 wins all time make him the second winningest coach in all of college football.
