Big Kat Bryant is staying in the SEC.
The departing Auburn defensive lineman announced Saturday that he will be transferring to Tennessee. Bryant’s transfer to UT reunites him with Kevin Steele. It was another Volunteers assistant Bryant mentioned in his announcement tweet.
Bryant tweeted his excitement to play for Shelton Felton again. At Crisp County (Georgia), Felton was the head coach for Bryant’s junior and senior seasons (2015, 2016).
Bryant arrives on Rocky Top with four seasons of experience having played in 49 games. On The Plains, Bryant recorded 56 total tackles, 10 sacks, 7 passes defended, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovers. Bryant was limited at times due to the injury this past season when he logged 17 tackles and an interception.
Your leadership and guidance has gotten me to where I am today! Blessed with the opportunity to play on the same field with you again @shelton_felton ! Once my coach, always my coach 🤝 #COMMITED @DansleyAnsley @CoachJPruitt pic.twitter.com/DUi8lLtSW6
