Heisman trophy winner Derrick Henry wasn’t the only expecting a favorable draft grade. Many expected he would be a top pick, and he would definitely be the top running back. Right?

Wrong. That spot belongs to RB Buckeyes Ezekiel Elliot for now.

But Henry isn’t letting his draft grade get him down.

“It doesn’t mean I’m not going to be first round,” Henry said. “I feel like what I do and how I test at the combine and work out. I feel like I will be first round. There’s no doubt in my mind that I won’t be.”

Back in November, Elliott took a jab at the Buckeyes coaching staff when he tweeted a comment about Henry’s record-setting game against Auburn.

He then turned around to trade compliments with Henry on his performance in the Iron Bowl.

It’s no secret that both running backs had high hopes of not just being a first round pick, but of being the first pick at their position. Only time will tell which one of them will claim the honor.
