Derrick Henry plunged into the end zone from 1-yard out to open the scoring in the Baltimore Ravens’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, but it wasn’t just a usual physical score for the NFL’s most intimidating running back.
The touchdown marked the 100th time that Henry has found his way to the painted area during a professional career that has now spanned nine seasons.

The Ravens acquired Henry this offseason, and it’s safe to say that it’s been a happy marriage thus far. Amidst rumors of him being out of his prime, Henry has 480 yards rushing and five touchdowns through four games for Baltimore, and he’s averaging a career-best 6.0 yards per carry.
Henry has scored 10 or more touchdowns in every season since 2018, and he set a career-high with 17 during the 2020 campaign. With the Ravens, Henry’s workload hasn’t changed noticeably despite his age of 30, as Baltimore continues to lean on the backfield duo of him and Lamar Jackson to propel its offense forward. So, double-digit touchdowns appears to be well within his reach.
The Ravens currently lead the Bengals 7-0 with the first quarter coming to a close.
