The 2015 Heisman Trophy winner isn’t done adding awards to his collection.

On Friday, former Alabama RB Derrick Henry was named the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Amateur Athlete of the Year.

According to a story on usatoday.com, Henry shared credit for the award with his Alabama teammates:

“It was a memorable season for me and for the whole team. There were a lot of us working hard to make it the kind of season we had. For me to win this award, I owe it all to them. To be chosen by the writers as the amateur athlete of the year, I’m very thankful, very honored, very appreciative, very blessed to be in this position.”

In other news about last season’s Heisman Trophy winner, Henry, now a member of the Tennessee Titans, has added another facet to his game at the NFL level.

Though he only caught 17 passes in three years at Alabama, Henry may see more balls thrown his way this year, according to a report in The Tennessean:

“I think he’s been impressive, especially with the one-on-ones,” Titans coach Mike Mularkey said Thursday. “He’s a very good route runner. Some of the teamwork we did and some of the routes that he ran, again, I always say there’s a lot of young guys that everything is so fast for them, they speed up the process. I haven’t seen that with him. He’s very patient, getting the depths he’s supposed to be getting at, beating guys that are cover guys, so I’ve been pretty impressed with him.”

If Henry adds pass-catching abilities to his game at the NFL level, he may snag another trophy for his collection — Rookie of the Year.
