DeSean Bishop, talented 2023 RB out of Knoxville, announces SEC commitment
DeSean Bishop is staying home.
The 3-star running back from Knoxville, Tennessee, signed with Tennessee Wednesday over Appalachian State.
Bishop is the No. 84 running back in the nation, per the 247Sports composite rankings. He had a dominant high school career, securing two Mr. Football Awards and rushing for more than 8,000 yards.
Bishop gained national attention in his final two seasons, where he racked up 5,592 yards and 64 touchdowns.
Bishop will join his hometown squad that is coming off its best season in over a decade. The Vols finished the regular season 10-2 with their first win over Alabama in 15 years. They will take on Clemson in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 30.
Tennessee is on its way up, and Bishop wanted to be a part of it.
