Despite Iron Bowl loss, Alabama remains favorite to win national title

The experts in Las Vegas are undaunted about Alabama’s Iron Bowl loss, and therefore have not raised odds about the Crimson Tide winning a national championship.
In fact, multiple sports books have Alabama at the lowest or second to lowest odds to win the title, as Auburn is commonly listed at 4/1 or 9/2. Alabama, though, is available for 5/1 or 4/1, according to David Purdum, who writes about gambling for ESPN.
Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma are co-favorites at 4-1 in updated national title odds at the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas. Auburn is 9-2, followed by Ohio State and Georgia, each at 7-1.
Purdum also added that the Westgate sports book a couple weeks ago took a “big bet” on Alabama, and doesn’t want or need any more money on the Crimson Tide.

Westgate took a big bet on Alabama to win the title a few weeks ago. Tide's odds reflect that. Book doesn't need/want any more money on Alabama. I'm gathering additional updated futures from other books for perspective.
