By Adam Spencer
Published:
The DFS season is heating up. College football is entering Week 6, while the NFL campaign prepares for Week 5.
Though there aren’t a ton of headliner games on the docket for college on Saturday, there’s still plenty of potential money to be made playing daily fantasy sports contests.
Each week, our DFS experts — Andrew Olson and Adam Spencer — provide their 3 favorite college football picks and 2 best plays from the NFL.
Keep reading below to see who the guys are riding with this weekend.

Our Week 6 CFB Picks
Andrew Olson
KJ Jefferson, UCF QB: Higher than 262.5 pass+rush yards
In two games against Power 4 defenses (TCU, Colorado), Jefferson has recorded 514 passing yards and 122 rushing yards. I don’t expect the Florida defense to lower those averages.
Xavier Restrepo, Miami WR: Higher than 74.5 receiving yards
Restrepo’s best performances have come on the road this year. He posted 7 receptions for 112 yards in Week 1 at Florida and 6 catches for 99 yards at South Florida. In Berkeley, I like Cam Ward to turn to Mr. Reliable.
Jalen Milroe, Alabama QB: Higher than 233.5 pass yards
I usually avoid players coming off a big game like Alabama-Georgia, but this line jumped out. A 240-yard passing day feels obtainable considering Alabama’s scheme and talent advantage. There’s a Heisman campaign to keep in mind, too.

Brady Cook, Mizzou QB: Higher than 224.5 pass yards
Texas A&M’s defense is strong, but Cook needs to show something this weekend. The Mizzou offense hasn’t looked like it did last year, despite having many of the same key players. Cook will need to be at his best in College Station, and I think he goes for 225 or more yards through the air.
Quinshon Judkins, Ohio State RB: Lower than 85.5 rush+receiving yards
Judkins only recorded 71 rush+receiving yards against Michigan State last week. Iowa’s defense is a different animal. Ohio State should win comfortably, but Judkins won’t find much running room.
Tre Harris, Ole Miss WR: Higher than 92.5 receiving yards
Harris has had more than 100 receiving yards in each of his games so far this year. I expect the game against South Carolina to be tougher than some experts think, but Harris has shown he can post 100+ receiving yards against anyone.
Our Week 5 NFL Picks
Andrew Olson
Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers RB: Higher than 59.5 rush yards
Hubbard is on a fantasy tear with back-to-back 100-yard rushing performances. The switch to Andy Dalton at QB seems to be doing wonders for the Carolina offense. Hubbard may not crack triple digits, but 60 seems attainable against the Chicago Bears.
Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets QB: Higher than 224.5 pass yards
Minnesota’s passing defense ranks last in the NFL. The Jets have been up and down, but Rodgers is still completing 64.1% of his passes and averaging over 200 yards per outing. The favorable matchup should boost his stats.
Adam Spencer
Amari Cooper, Cleveland Browns WR: Higher than 49.5 receiving yards
The Browns haven’t been great offensively this year, but everyone has success against the Commanders’ defense. Even though the Cardinals were awful against Washington last week, Marvin Harrison Jr. had 5 catches for 45 yards and a score. I think Cooper will get to 50 yards with relative ease in this game.
Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears QB: Higher than 215.5 pass yards
Williams has only gone higher than 200 pass yards once during his rookie season through 4 games, throwing for 363 yards against the Colts 2 weeks ago. The Panthers are bad. If Williams can’t get to 216 yards through the air this week, it will be a concerning sign.
