DFS Picks of the Week: Our top Underdog plays for NFL Conference Championship Weekend
By Adam Spencer
Published:
DFS season is winding down for football fans. The College Football Playoff is over, with Ohio State claiming the national title. This weekend, we have 2 NFL games — the AFC Championship Game between the Chiefs and Bills and the NFC Championship Game between the Eagles and Commanders.
Then? Well, let’s not talk about next weekend, when there’s no football, unless you count the Pro Bowl (which we don’t). For now, let’s focus on the good.
Our DFS experts — Andrew Olson and Adam Spencer — broke down all the Conference Championship Game pick’em options over at Underdog and shared their 3 favorite plays for Sunday.
Keep reading below to see who they like for Sunday.

Our NFL Conference Championship Game Picks
Andrew Olson
Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs TE: Higher than 68.5 receiving yards
Buffalo gave up 134 yards to Baltimore tight ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely in the divisional round. This number is presumably low because the Bills held Kelce to 2 catches for 8 yards in November. This Sunday, however, Buffalo is facing Playoff Kelce. After his 117 yards against the Texans, I like Kelce to put up nice numbers again Sunday.
Amari Cooper, Buffalo Bills WR: Higher than 16.5 receiving yards
It has been a quiet playoffs for Amari Cooper, but he’s still Amari Cooper. It’s understandable why the total is so low after the 0-catch game against the Ravens which followed his 2 catches for 8 yards against Denver. Cooper has not gone 3-straight games with under 17 yards all season. Last time he faced the Chiefs, he had 3 catches for 55 yards.
Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders QB: Higher than 225.5 pass yards
Daniels is on a streak of 5-straight full games with 226 or more yards passing. That includes his 258 yards against Philadelphia in a Dec. 22 home game and his road playoff performances for 268 and 299. I like him to extend his 226 streak to 6 in a row.

Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles RB: Higher than 24.5 rush attempts
The Eagles have a great thing going with Barkley. He’s been nearly unstoppable this season and just had a huge showing against the Rams last week. If the Eagles are smart, they’ll give the ball to Barkley. This is a KISS situation — Keep It Simple, Stupid. If Barkley doesn’t get 25+ carries on Sunday afternoon against Washington, something has gone horribly wrong for Philly.
Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders QB: Higher than 10.5 rush attempts
Similarly, this is the NFC Championship Game. The Commanders can’t hold anything back now. Jayden Daniels is their best offensive weapon. He needs to use his legs early and often. I’m picking him to run the ball 11+ times, and I think he could have significantly more than 11 rush attempts if this turns into a close game.
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills QB: Lower than 31.5 pass attempts
The Bills had the Chiefs’ number earlier this season, beating Kansas City 30-21 in Buffalo back in November. Allen attempted 40 passes in that game, but I don’t see a repeat performance coming. First, I don’t think these teams will combine for 51 points this time. In a lower-scoring game, possessions will be at a premium. Look for the Bills to use James Cook early and often and let Allen use his legs as they try to beat their AFC rivals for a second time this season.
