Dick Vitale blasts ‘pathetic’ transfer portal, says it is leading to ‘chaos’ and ‘cheating’

Dick Vitale is no fan of the transfer portal, which he has made clear over the years since it has risen to prominence in college sports.
With thousands of college basketball players in the portal following the 2021-22 season, the portal was once again the subject of Dickie V’s ire this week.
As you can see below, the popular ESPN analyst ripped the portal for leading to chaos and cheating and ruining loyalty in young people:

As for the argument that coaches can leave whenever they want, Vitale responds that if a coach leaves, the players should be able to leave, too:

It seems the transfer portal is leading to a lot of chaos these days. We’ll see if the NCAA makes any changes to it in the coming years or if folks like Vitale will just have to learn to live with it.
