Dieunerst Collin, who rose to fame on social media in 2013 as the “Popeyes Kid,” landed an NIL deal with Popeyes.
Almost 10 years after Collin became known for being pictured in a Popeyes restaurant, he is a college football player at Lake Erie College. Collin is an offensive lineman for the D-II football program and he just wrapped up his freshman season at the college.
As a high school senior in 2021, many people remembered that Collin was the child who became famous on social media in 2013. He won a state championship in 2021 and sent out a tweet that said, “From Popeyes to a state champion,” Dieunerst said. He attended Cicely L. Tyson High School in East Orange, New Jersey and was a standout offensive lineman on the state championship team.
