Dion Stutts passed away on Tuesday night after sustaining injuries in an ATV accident.
That tragic news was confirmed by the Memphis Commercial Appeal, who spoke with Memphis University School football coach and athletic director Bobby Alston.
“Our hearts are broken for the family. Dion was such a great young man. He had a smile that warmed your heart when you had a chance to be around him,” Alston told the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
Alston said the accident took place near his farm in Batesville, Mississippi. He was 18 years old.
Stutts was a highly-touted recruit in the class of 2024. He had just finished his junior year of high school.
Stutts committed to Arkansas back in March of this year. He chose the Razorbacks over offers from programs like Texas A&M, South Carolina, Ole Miss and Louisville, amongst others.
Arkansas defensive line coach Deke Adams shared this tribute late Tuesday night:
My heart is aching right now! What a wonderful you man with an amazing spirit! I’m at a loss for words! We love you Dion and you will always be a Razorback! Praying for his family!
