Willis (TX) quarterback DJ Lagway might one day become a superstar in the SEC. For now, the 2024 5-star recruit has options in terms of where he’ll call home at the next level.
Lagway announced the top 10 teams he’ll be selecting from come 2024. Of the 10, 6 hail from SEC country. These include Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, LSU and Texas A&M.

Should Lagway hope to play close to home, the Aggies might have the lead. College Station is roughly a 64-mile drive from Willis down the interstate.
Per the 247Sports rankings, Lagway is the No. 6 quarterback in the 2024 class and the No. 6 overall recruit from the state of Texas. He also is the No. 44 overall player in the class thanks to his dual-threat mobility. The 6-2, 225-pound passer will also consider Baylor, Clemson, Oklahoma, and USC before making his final decision.
