DK Metcalf has produced an impressive NFL career with the Seattle Seahawks. However, the big-play threat and former Ole Miss star is reportedly looking to find a new team this offseason.

According to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Metcalf has informed the team of his requests to be traded. Rapoport revealed the Seahawks will investigate a trade and expects to see “significant interest” from teams trying to obtain the wide receiver.

Metcalf was limited to 12 starts (15 appearances) last season in the lowest number of starts for his career. It led to his lowest number of receiving touchdowns in a single season (5) but he still finished with 66 catches for 992 yards.

Overall, Metcalf is already 6th on the franchise’s all-time receiving list with 6,324 yards and 4th with 48 touchdowns. However, the Seahawks also released longtime wideout Tyler Lockett on Wednesday and there are some signs the team might be ready to move on from former leaders.

This past season, former Ohio State star Jaxon Smith-Njigba ascended during his 2nd season in the NFL. He led the team with 1,130 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns and could be in line as the focal point of the passing attack moving forward.
