Slaughter has been a key player on Tennessee’s defense for the past 2 campaigns. He’s recorded 30+ tackles in each of the past 2 seasons. His best year with the Vols came in 2022 when he recorded 31 tackles, 1 interception and 7 pass deflections.
He’ll join an Arkansas secondary that will be hoping to make a big leap forward in 2024. The Razorbacks struggled this past season and finished 11th in the SEC in passer rating efficiency defense.
Slaughter is the fourth transfer to commit to Arkansas so far this offseason. The Razorbacks have been aggressive in the early going with the transfer portal as they hope to get back to bowl eligibility next season.
Arkansas is set to host Tennessee next season. The Vols will be in Fayetteville on Oct. 5, 2024.
