If you were wanting to see New York Giants WR Odell Beckham in Sunday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, you are probably going to be disappointed. The LSU product has been dealing with an ankle injury that he suffered against the Cleveland Browns during the team’s second preseason game back on Aug. 21st.

When ESPN insider Adam Schefter looked into Beckham’s potential availability in Week 1, he was give the following response from a trusted source:

Browns CB Briean Boddy-Calhoun was the one responsible for the hit on Beckham that caused the injury, which if you missed it, can be seen below.

There has been some speculation that Beckham has been dealing with a high ankle sprain, which can typically take up to 6 weeks to heal. It’s been close to three weeks since the injury, so the hope is that he will be able to make his way back to the field sometime in the coming weeks.

It’s unfortunate that he won’t be available for Sunday night’s game against the Cowboys — a Giants’ division rival.
