Don’t tell Nick Saban his team will win easily against Arkansas

We all remember “rat poison”. It was a line by Alabama coach Nick Saban that will go down in SEC quote history.

The bottom line behind the quote – stop telling Alabama players how good they are, or they will start to believe it too much.

Saban was at it again on his weekly radio show Thursday, expressing frustration at fans who tell them his team should win easily this weekend simply because “It’s Arkansas”.

Saban clearly believes “rat poison” is the best way to sum up what fans and media say about Alabama, which is of course a product of his own success as possibly the best college coach of all time. At the same time, it is hard to imagine that people still haven’t learned not to undermine Alabama’s opponents around the head coach.

Alabama is going to go into Fayetteville and beat Arkansas by a lot of points. While that is true barring a miracle, just make sure you don’t say it to Nick Saban’s face. He might choke somebody.
