Draft analyst makes controversial NFL comparison for Kyle Trask
By Adam Spencer
Published:
Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen is having a strong season so far. Florida QB Kyle Trask is also off to a hot start, torching Ole Miss’s secondary for 5 touchdowns and leading the Rebels 41-21 heading into the fourth quarter.
Watch Trask play, NFL Draft scout Matt Miller of Bleacher Report saw a lot of Allen in the Gators’ signal caller.
He took to Twitter to make the Trask-Allen comparison:
Kyle Trask is Josh Allen.
— Matt Miller (@nfldraftscout) September 26, 2020
Many jumped on Miller for that, saying Allen is a good runner, while Trask is not. They also noted that Allen has a big arm, while Trask’s strength is more in his accuracy.
Miller defended his tweet against criticism from fans, as you can see below:
Apparently y’all haven’t seen Josh play this year.

I think it’s good

Here’s what fans had to say about the comparison to the Bills’ quarterback after Miller’s tweet:

How in the world are they remotely alike?

Uhhh except hes way more accurate and doesn't have the athletic mobility?? I've watched a lot of both and I think calling this comparison a stretch is generous at best. Only things they have in common are theyre both big white & play qb. It stops there

Trask more accurate pure passer but nowhere near the runner or athletic ability of Josh Allen

Agree with Miller or not, but it’s undeniable that Trask is having a heck of an afternoon in Oxford. We’ll see if he tacks on a sixth TD pass moving forward.
