The last two drafts have been quarterback heavy at the top of the board but with Texas A&M junior defender Myles Garrett eligible to enter following the 2016 season, things could be changing at the top of 2017 draft boards.
With the 2016 NFL Draft now completely in the rearview mirror, some analysts have already begun to look ahead to the next installment of the NFL’s rookie selection process. Obviously we won’t know who has the No. 1 overall pick for some time (the Browns would be a safe bet) but draft experts have already begun to feel out the top candidates for go first overall in the next draft.
Senior NFL Draft Analyst for CBS Sports Dane Brugler has the Aggies’ uber-talented, 6-foot-6, 265-pound defensive end currently at the top of his board:

During his first two years in College Station, Garrett has posted some incredible numbers from his defensive end position: 108 tackles, 32 tackles-for-loss, 22.5 sacks and an interception. If you have yet to see him play, he’s basically Jadeveon Clowney without the injury concerns and off-the-field question marks.
If Garrett continues to dominate at the SEC level this fall, don’t be surprised when he becomes the first A&M player to be selected No. 1 overall in an NFL draft.
