Though Saturday’s season opener didn’t exactly go according to plan for the Missouri Tigers, junior QB Drew Lock looked every bit as good as advertised in a 72-43 win over Missouri State.
Lock threw for a school-record seven touchdowns and 521 yards in the game that was much closer than expected.
For his outstanding efforts, the junior earned the Week 1 Walter Camp Offensive Player of the Week honors:

Lock is the first Mizzou player to earn the Walter Camp honors since DE Markus Golden in November of 2014.
The Tigers will look to ride Lock’s hot arm as they kick off their SEC schedule next weekend against the South Carolina Gamecocks at Faurot Field.
Iowa LB Josey Jewell took home the Week 1 defensive award.
