It may be the first Saturday of the college football season this year, but for many in the south, they were awoken by an earthquake. People as north as the state of North Dakota down to the state of Texas felt the earth shake at around 8 a.m. EST.

As the tweets show, many down in Dallas, Texas felt the earthquake. Dallas is roughly a 20 minute drive to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where Alabama will face USC tonight at 8 p.m. in “Jerry’s World.”
