Eli Drinkwitz on Mizzou defensive struggles: ‘I’m not going to hit the panic button’
Missouri’s head coach Eli Drinkwitz spoke to the media following a 41-34 loss to Boston College.
Through four games, Missouri’s defense as whole has struggled, allowing 1,809 total yards of offense to opposing teams.
Despite the slow start from the defense, Drinkwitz isn’t going to let it worry him:
Drinkwitz not pointing any fingers for the defensive problems: “It started with me and making sure I’ve got everyone in sync and in rhythm.” Says defensive scheme will get better with time. “I’m not going to hit the panic button.”

Drinkwitz also brought up that while they have struggled, switching to a new scheme on defense will take some time as they are just 4 weeks into it:
“We’re four weeks into a new defensive scheme and it’s going to get better…I’m not going to hit the panic button. Nobody’s going to hit the panic button.”
