Eli Drinkwitz appears ready to say his goodbyes to star wide receiver Luther Burden III following the 2024 season.

When asked about Burden in relation to senior day activities, something most players who declare for the draft do participate in, he gave a very cloaked (yet revealing) answer.

Drinkwitz maintained that no decisions have been made specifically about Burden’s future. But, let’s just say it would be nothing short of surprising to see Burden on a college football field again in 2025.

“I would just say we’re very fortunate for Luther to have been here for 3 seasons,” Drinkwitz said. “He will walk on Saturday.”

Burden has been an incredibly important part of the team both from an offense and a special teams perspective. Heading into the tail of the season, he’s tallied 60 receptions for 665 yards with 8 total touchdowns in 2024.

Burden and the Tigers will continue their college football action for this season as No. 23-ranked Mizzou faces the Arkansas Razorbacks for one last in-conference clash. The game is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m ET at Faurot Field on Saturday, Nov. 30.
