Highly touted defensive back prospect Deangelo Gibbs will ultimately only be able to pick one college to sign with coming out of of high school, however the talented recruit from Loganville, Ga., isn’t as limited in making his selections for the 2016 national championship game.

Before getting to his picks, it’s important to note which programs are considered the favorite to land the No. 1 prospect from Georgia and the No. 2 cornerback in the nation, according to 247Sports. Although Gibbs keeps his recruitment very close to the vest, the in-state Bulldogs and Tennessee are the perceived favorites to land his signature come signing day, with both Alabama and Auburn heavily in the mix.

Both SEC East schools look to have helped their chances by landing relatives of Gibbs’. The Vols signed his cousin and top defensive back Nigel Warrior last signing day, while Georgia recently accepted the transfer of  another Gibbs’ cousin in J.R. Reed from Tulsa.

With all that being said, who does Gibbs like to play for this year’s national championship?

“The national championship will be between Alabama and Ohio State, a repeat,” Gibbs told Derek Tyson of ESPN Thursday.

Considering Gibbs is so high on the Tide, could they be the actual leaders of his recruitment? Or could Tennessee prove to Georgia’s top prospect the program has taken the next step by beating the Tide on the field, leading to the U.S. Army All-American ultimately signing with the Vols?

Only time will tell but don’t expect the recruitment of Gibbs to die down anytime soon with nearly every major college football power knocking at his door during his recruitment.
