Emmanuel Forbes had quite the debut for the Washington Commanders on Sunday.

The former Mississippi State cornerback had 3 tackles including 1 tackle for loss in his debut, but what really stood out was his defensive effort to seal the deal against Arizona in the fourth quarter.

Down by 4 points and looking to score with less than 2 minutes to go, Cardinals quarterback Josh Dobbs tried to find a receiver downfield, but Forbes managed to break up the pass and force a turnover on downs.

It was a great start to his NFL career, and he’s certainly earned the trust of his coaches and teammates.

Forbes played at Mississippi State for 3 seasons, where he racked up 150 tackles and 14 interceptions across his career. Forbes was taken 19th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Commanders.
