ESPN FPI rankings have been updated after an absolutely chaotic Week 13 in college football. Several top teams, including 3 Playoff contenders in the SEC, lost.

Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas A&M all suffered defeats, while No. 5 Indiana was also blown out on the road at No. 2 Ohio State.

ESPN’s Football Power Index had Alabama at No. 2 entering Week 13, but now the Tide have fallen to No. 4 with Saturday’s disappointing 24-3 loss at Oklahoma.

Here’s how the ESPN FPI top 25 rankings look as we prepare for Rivalry Week:

  1. Texas
  2. Ohio State
  3. Notre Dame
  4. Alabama
  5. Georgia
  6. Ole Miss
  7. Oregon
  8. Tennessee
  9. Penn State
  10. Miami
  11. Indiana
  12. SMU
  13. Louisville
  14. Clemson
  15. Texas A&M
  16. South Carolina
  17. Tulane
  18. USC
  19. LSU
  20. Iowa
  21. Mizzou
  22. Kansas State
  23. Oklahoma
  24. Colorado
  25. Florida

That’s a grand total of 11 SEC teams in the top 25, which is an impressive showing for the conference. The only SEC teams not to make the cut were Auburn (No. 29), Arkansas (No. 32), Vanderbilt (No. 38), Kentucky (No. 42) and Mississippi State (No. 70).

Will we see more chaos during Rivalry Week? Will either Texas or Texas A&M punch its ticket to Atlanta to face Georgia in the SEC Championship Game?

We’ll find out what happens, and how it affects the FPI rankings, by this time next week!
