A top-10 battle, No. 9 Auburn’s trip to Baton Rouge to face No. 2 LSU is the most anticipated game on the October 26 SEC slate.

Featuring two of the conference’s more exciting quarterbacks, the two programs have posted a combined 13-1 record. Winning the job as a true freshman, Bo Nix has thrown for 1,301 yards and 11 scores for Auburn. Joe Burrow, on the other hand, is having a Heisman Trophy caliber season, throwing for 2,484 yards and a program-record 29 touchdowns.

Set to kick at 3:30PM ET, the game will be broadcast as part of the SEC on CBS. At the moment, ESPN’s FPI is giving LSU a 66.3-percent chance to prevail victorious.

Improving to 7-0, LSU throttled Mississippi State, 36-13, on October 19. One of four different Tigers to catch a touchdown pass, junior Justin Jefferson led the team with 89 yards receiving.

Also winning on the road, Auburn ran past Arkansas, 51-10, in Fayetteville. Registering four scores – three passing, one rushing – Nix racked up 195 total yards.

ESPN’s FPI definition:

The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.
