ESPN host: Alabama is a better job than the Indianapolis Colts

Earlier this week, a radio station in Indianapolis speculated that Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay may try to convince Alabama’s Nick Saban to become the Colts’ next head coach.

It would probably be difficult for anyone to convince Saban to leave the Crimson Tide, even a team with Andrew Luck as its quarterback.

ESPN’s Mike Greenberg believes there’s no way that Irsay can talk Saban into leaving Alabama. He also apparently thinks the Colts would be a step backwards for the Crimson Tide coach.

Saban has coached in the NFL before, leading the Miami Dolphins from 2005-06. He left the Dolphins to become Alabama’s coach in 2007. In nine seasons with the Crimson Tide, Saban has gone 94-18 and his teams have won three national championships.

It’s also doubtful that the Colts are looking for a coach, or will be in the near future. Chuck Pagano is in his fourth season as Indianapolis’ head coach. He has a record of 36-20 and has taken the team to the playoffs in each of his first three seasons.
