ESPN NFL analyst gives Todd Gurley favorable comparison to Adrian Peterson
Is anyone surprised St. Louis Rams running back Todd Gurley is tearing it up in the NFL this season?
The former Georgia standout leads the league in rushing yards (575) by a rookie and has recorded four consecutive games with at least 125 yards on the ground. Despite an ACL injury that shortened his final season in Athens, Gurley has shown an early return to form, flexing the breakaway speed that made him one of the SEC’s most dynamic playmakers during his tenure.

Gurley’s combination of speed, strength and agility has the opened the eyes of several scouts and front office personnel that have compared the 6-foot-1, 230-pound bruiser to several of the game’s greatest ballcarriers.
Former NFL executive and a long-time director of scouting Mark Dominik believes Gurley is already further along at this point of his career than former Oklahoma great Adrian Peterson, whose rushed for more than 10,000 yards for the Minnesota Vikings over the last eight season:
“No one in NFL runs ball better than Gurley. He has lower pad level than Peterson, helps him bounce off more tackles.” –@MarkdominikESPN
