ESPN NFL analyst Tedy Bruschi recovering after suffering stroke

ESPN NFL analyst Tedy Bruschi has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke.
The family of the former New England Patriots linebacker released a statement saying Bruschi is recovering well. The statement notes that warning signs – arm weakness, face drooping and speech difficulties – were recognized immediately, potentially minimizing the impact.
Unfortunately, this is not Bruschi’s first stroke. His Wikipedia page notes that, on February 16, 2005, “just three days after playing in the 2005 Super Bowl, Bruschi was taken to a hospital with symptoms including temporary numbness, blurred vision, and headaches” and was diagnosed with a mild stroke. He experienced partial paralysis but rehabilitated himself to eventually rejoin the Patriots, earning NFL Comeback Player of the Year honors (shared with Steve Smith) for the season.
Bruschi played in the NFL through the 2008 season, announcing his retirement in August 2009. He then joined ESPN as an analyst.
