ESPN plans to honor Keith Jackson with memorable broadcasts today and Sunday

Keith Jackson died on Saturday morning at the age of 89.

ESPN is planning to honor the legendary broadcaster, who sat in the booth for close to 40 years and left us all with memorable calls — “Whoa, Nellie!” the one that most certainly will be remembered longest.

The Worldwide Leader will pay tribute to Jackson with 16 hours of programming on Saturday and Sunday via its ESPN Classic and ESPNU channels, according to one of the network’s public relations representatives, Bill Hofheimer.

Some of Jackson’s signature calls will be featured — including the following games (all times ET):

Saturday (ESPN Classic)

4 to 6 p.m. — 1994 Colorado vs. Michigan

6 to 8 p.m. — 1997 Ohio State vs. Michigan

8 to 11 p.m. — 2003 Ohio State vs. Miami

11 p.m. to 2 a.m. — 2006 Rose Bowl: Texas vs. USC

Sunday (ESPNU)

6 to 9 a.m. — 2003 Ohio State vs. Miami

9 a.m. to Noon — 2006 Rose Bowl: Texas vs. USC
