ESPN’s broadcast booth mixing it up for TAMU-Clemson with Chris Fowler away covering tennis
According to Richard Deitsch, ESPN will be mixing it up for Texas A&M’s big matchup against Clemson on Saturday night.
Chris Fowler, who is usually on the call for ESPN’s primetime matchups, is out covering the US Open this week. Due to his absence, ESPN is giving Rece Davis the call for Saturday night’s big game.
This isn’t the first time Davis has stepped in for Fowler. Davis also took over hosting College GameDay in 2015 for Fowler, who had been hosting the show since 1990.
Fowler has still continued his play-by-play roles with Saturday Night Football on ABC and also during the College Football Playoff.
Clemson and Texas A&M are scheduled to kick off at 7 PM ET on Saturday.
With Chris Fowler calling the U.S. Open, Rece Davis gets the call of No. 2 Clemson at Texas A&M on Saturday night.
