ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) has released its projections for each Ole Miss regular season game.

According to the model, the Rebels should have a few easier games to start the 2023 season. FPI gives Ole Miss at least a 69% chance to win each of its first 3 games. Check out the game-by-game projections here, with the percentage listed representing the chance of Ole Miss winning said game.

  • Sept. 2 vs. Mercer — 99%
  • Sept. 9 at Tulane — 69.6%
  • Sept. 16 vs. Georgia Tech — 86.1%
  • Sept. 23 at Alabama — 13.1%
  • Sept. 30 vs. LSU — 35.8%
  • Oct. 7 vs. Arkansas — 67.5%
  • Oct. 21 at Auburn — 63.9%
  • Oct. 28 vs. Vanderbilt — 86.8%
  • Nov. 4 vs. Texas A&M — 58.7%
  • Nov. 11 at Georgia — 13.6%
  • Nov. 18 vs. UL Monroe — 96.9%
  • Nov. 23 at Mississippi State — 59%

Ole Miss is favored to win 7.5 games and has a 4.2% chance to win the SEC West according to the FPI. As you can see above, the Rebels are considered favorites in 9 of their 2 regular season games. Alabama, LSU and Georgia are the 3 games in which Ole Miss has the lowest percentage chance to win.

The Rebels will kick off the 2023 season against the Mercer Bears on September 2.
