ESPN’s Football Power Index revealed its predictions for Week 11 of college football action.

It provided its take on who it believes will come out on top in the marquee matchup between No. 2 Georgia and No. 16 Ole Miss on Saturday. FPI gives the Rebels a 53.9% chance to emerge victorious in Oxford, a result that would salvage all of Ole Miss’ playoff hopes.

Entering the season with one of the greatest transfer portal classes in the history of the sport and one of the best returning quarterbacks in the country to boot, it was playoff or bust for Lane Kiffin & Co in 2024.

The beginning of the season did nothing to dissuade that, as the Rebels strolled through a weak non-conference slate with plenty of style points.

But then, reality hit in the form of a 20-17 loss to Kentucky to open SEC play, and despite rebounding with a strong win over South Carolina, the Rebels fell in Death Valley in overtime to LSU. That second loss made the margin for error razor thin in Oxford, and Ole Miss has responded well in comfortable wins over Oklahoma and Arkansas following a bye. A loss to the Bulldogs on Saturday would effectively kill the Rebels’ playoff hopes, however.

Meanwhile, Georgia has some more wiggle room given its lone loss came in Tuscaloosa and it boasts being the only team to have taken down Texas this season.

But, Kirby Smart will likely just be looking for his team to play a complete game. The Bulldogs have now struggled in wins over Kentucky, Mississippi State and Florida, looking like a national title-caliber team in some moments but then faltering in others.

The Bulldogs and Rebels kick off at 3:30 ET on ABC.
