SEC quarterbacks didn’t receive much recognition before the start of media days on Monday.
A conference known for its hard-nose defenses and tough rushing attack was largely ignored by ESPN’s Rece Davis, who provided his quarterback rankings for the 2016 season. According to Davis, only Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly is worthy of any attention heading into the fall.
Heard some dudes (looking at you @GVMcElroy ) ranking QB. @DeshaunWatson4 is a given at 1. I'd go Rosen, Mayfield, Kelly, Kaaya next. 1/2

Last year, Kelly lead the SEC with 4,042 passing yards and 31 TDs. He averaged 310.9 yards per game in his junior campaign with the Rebels.
With the conference losing top quarterbacks like Mississippi State’s Dak Prescott and Arkansas’ Brandon Allen, it’s understandable that Davis would omit some of the newcomers from his list.
Will any rising quarterbacks in the SEC use this as fuel and find themselves on Davis’s radar before the 2017 media days?
