Road Hogs: Arkansas’ last road game of the season is also its toughest contest of the season. The Razorbacks are traveling 530 miles to Baton Rouge for Saturday night’s game at LSU. Arkansas improved to 2-1 on the road this year with last week’s thrilling 53-52 overtime win at Ole Miss.
Gator Elation: SEC East champion Florida takes its show on the road for the final time this season with its 358-mile trip to South Carolina this week. The Gators’ only loss of the season was at LSU on Oct. 17.
Road Worriers: Kentucky, which is running out of opportunities to become bowl eligible, heads to Vanderbilt — a 214-mile trip — for its road finale this week. The Wildcats, who are 1-2 on the road this year, cap their regular season with home games against Charlotte and Louisville, respectively.
Travel Squad: Georgia’s 173-mile trek to Auburn this week is its next-to-last road trip of the season. After hosting Georgia Southern next week, the Bulldogs head to Georgia Tech for their regular season finale on Nov. 28.
Short, But Not Sweet: Alabama has to go only 84 miles this week for its penultimate road game of the season. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the Crimson Tide will be visiting Mississippi State, which has won four straight and is 4-1 in Starkville this season. Bama, which has won its first two road games of the season by an average of 23 points, hosts Charleston Southern next week before wrapping up its regular season at Auburn on Nov. 28.
