Former Alabama DT A’Shawn Robinson has been named in a lawsuit regarding a $9,332 restaurant tab.
Per TMZ, it is alleged that Robinson, fellow NFL player Caleb Benenoch, and a third man ran up the high tab at the Hyde Sunset Kitchen and Cocktails in Los Angeles. The suit alleges that all three tried to pay the bill, but their credit cards were declined. The night ended with the third man, Richard Harrington, covering the tab on the conditions that Robinson and Benenoch reimburse him for their share of the tab at a later date.
Harrington says that Robinson and Benenoch sent him $2,000 each, and he’s suing to recover the rest of the money.
It is not a great look for Robinson who is getting set to begin his second season with the Detroit Lions. He posted 30 total tackles with two sacks and seven pass deflections in his rookie season. Robinson is expected to play a large role in Detroit moving forward. Hopefully the lawsuit can be settled quickly for all parties involved.
