Ex-Georgia TE suffers torn Achilles on first play

Benjamin Watson has been in the NFL for quite some time now, playing at the age of 35 for the Baltimore Ravens. Watson, a former Georgia Bulldog tight end, became the latest player to suffer a season-ending injury Saturday night, tearing his Achilles.

According to baltimoreravens.com, Watson suffered the injury in the first play of the preseason game against the Detroit Lions tonight. The injury is reportedly going to cost him the 2016 season.

Watson signed a two-year contract this off-season after having a career year in 2015 with the New Orleans Saints, catching 74 passes for 825 yards and six touchdowns.
