Falcons waive former LSU CB Jalen Collins after 10-game suspension

The Atlanta Falcons saw enough potential in former LSU DB Jalen Collins that they spent a second-round pick on him during the 2015 NFL Draft.
After a decent rookie year, Collins was suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season due to a violation of the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs. He returned after the suspension and had a strong 2016 campaign.
However, to start this season, Collins was again suspended for a PED violation, this time for 10 games. Now eligible to return, the Falcons decided he wasn’t worth the trouble and waived him on Tuesday:

As a young former second-round pick, Collins may draw some interest from other teams on the waiver wire, so it’ll be interesting to see where he ends up.
However, if a team does decide to take a chance on him at this point, they’ll need to keep an eye on Collins’ supplement intake.
